This car was scrapped at Penhall Road in July 1952.
Picture number 25007 25007 95 EH Yorkshire Grey Preparing to return to Woolwich - Beresford Square. As a result of war damage the lower saloon vent windows were rebuilt on this car, The vehicle was scrapped in November 1952 at Penhall Road.

Picture number 25018 25018 588 E1. Bricklayers Arms This car is at the junction of the New Kent Road facing Tower Bridge Road waiting for the traffic lights to change when it will turn left into Old Kent Road passing the "Bricklayers Arms" Pub.
This area was been completely changed by the construction of a roundabout and flyover in the 1960's.
E1 588 was built in 1930 using trucks and other equipment from a 'G' class subway car as can be seen by the wider than normal lower deck centre pillar. It waas scrapped in June 1952.
