At Streatham change pit 2161 slowly accelerates to take up the plough before the conductor pulls don the trolley pole, this procedure was known as 'ploughing up' or to some staff "taking the plough". The car was built in 1931 and was withdrawn in April 1951 to be sold to Leeds Corporation where it was renumbered to 562 in the Leeds Tramway fleet. |

A George Cohen worker leaning on E1R while it was being used as the scrapyard canteen. The car was built in 1921 rehabilitated in November 1935 and scrapped in 1953 one of the last of the London trams to be scrapped. If anyone knows who the worker is please let us know. |
